This television is so loaded with features, it’s hard to know where to begin in explaining all that it does. The 72MX196 is a 72-inch Cinema Series integrated (1080p) HD DLP, which in itself says a lot. This high definition set uses a unique "TALEN XHD" light engine with Xtreme BLAC, which incorporates advanced design and technology to further enhance the home theater experience. PixelPure Hi-Bit digital video processing uses 12-bit picture processing (up to 14 bit internally) to create 4096 steps of gradation (steps between the whitest white and the blackest black) and will also incorporate improvements in areas such as: real speed progressive scanning, video noise reduction, sharpness, and gamma control to set a new standard for picture quality. Four step dynamic contrast allows you to customize the picture based on such factors as source material and ambient lighting conditions. All of this fancy new technology works together to accomplish one goal -- your pure home theater enjoyment.

The Cinema Series 72MX195 HDTV combines a wealth of technology for a truly integrated experience. This DLP projection television is fully Digital Cable Ready. The ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuner with CableCARD slot allows tuning of off-air, unscrambled, and scrambled (using cable company provided CableCARD) signals for maximum HDTV reception flexibility. Also featured on the 72MX196 is TV Guide On Screen. It combines programming from each of the television’s internal tuners into one, easy-to-read on-screen program guide. TV Guide On Screen makes it quick and easy for you to locate desired programs, and is a crucial feature for ease of use with digital cable. Dual HDMI digital inputs transfer both uncompressed digital video and digital audio in one convenient cable for connections to today’s best home theater components.

More Great Connections
The 72MX196 features some other great connectivity options. The THINC Ethernet port gives you a home interactive network connection. You can access and play JPEG files as well as MP3 files from this home network connection. The 15-Pin D-Sub PC input lets you utilize the 72MX196 as a computer monitor. Imagine playing PC video games on this crisp 62-inch screen. Or, playing MPEG video files that are stored on your computer. You can even surf the net, using the 72MX196 as your monitor. There are also 2 ColorStream component video inputs, 2 S-Video inputs and rear A/V inputs and even an optical digital audio output.
